Gothic/Grunge lace Nirvana dress

This dress is so lovely. I loved the lace sleeves and construction of the dress. I got it on etsy from Veras Eye Candy. Veronica has some amazing dresses, bodysuits and many other cool items. Her dresses are very flattering and one of the better diy stores I have come across. I will definitely be ordering more. I love the aesthetics of the band tees juxtaposed with the lace. My favorite pieces are the lace sleeve dresses, body suits and I have my eye on a rad Pantera fringe dress she made. If you want something different and unique check out her store.

New macabre buttons

I saw a post on fashion grunge style's facebook a while ago about these really cool buttons done by artist David Jordan on etsy. I'm addicted to etsy and always find some of the most amazing artists on there. I love the Wednesday Addams key chain that doubles as a can opener and there are tons of other cool buttons. My favorites by far are the Addams Family ones, Sally (nightmare before christmas) and Hedwig and the Angry Inch buttons. He gave me a few extra buttons which I thought was very nice. I can't wait to adorn my jackets and bags with them. Check his etsy store out if you get a chance: David Jordan

Love this Lydia Beetlejuice keychain/bottleopener.

Grant Lee Phillips show

My friend was my date for the night. We grabbed dinner at Los Charros, then coffees and later caught the Grant Lee Phillips show with other pals at a local cafe. I have always really dug his music. He use to be in Grant Lee Buffalo for those of you who might remember them. His voice always reminded me of a mixture between Neil Young and Elvis. It was rad because my friend Mark was helping to work the door and stamping people. He watched the the performance with us upstairs. Grant sang a lot of songs off of his new album, "Walking in the Green Corn" The songs are very deep as he explores his mixed heritage among other things. I think a lot of people can relate to his music. He performed a song called "Fool's Gold" which we really liked. After the show he stayed a while to autograph fan's tshirts, vinyl, cds and take a few pics. He is very gracious and warm. I shook his hand and took a pic with him. He was so incredibly sweet. He played a really wonderful set and told jokes. It was a really cool show. If you like soothing, chill melodies and deep lyrics, check out his new album. It has a very cool folky, rock and soulful vibe to it.

The Craft

I love this sheer top from Dolls Kill. Very lovely and it is perfect for the summer. I like that it was named after one of my favorite movies. It is sexy and daring and reminds me of sneaking away between classes to smoke cloves, hang with friends and be naughty.

The forest and the fae

Today my babe and I went for a hike up at Huddart Park. So gorgeous there and so many beautiful trails, animals, wildlife and redwoods. I wore my favorite Finntroll mini dress from etsy with Nomads Hempwear top, pants and a cool replica amulet Atreyu wore in Neverending Story that I got from ebay. Who says you can't be fashionable when you're hiking? Later we grabbed a veggie lunch at a cool little restaurant in Woodside and got some soy drinks at a local cafe'

I kinda want to live here.

Soy lattes and mochas at local cafe.

Tribe Ls T and Exile pants, Nomads Hempwear. Auryn necklace, ebay. Finntroll dress, KittyVamp designs on etsy.

(Everyone asks about the necklace! They have a ton on ebay if you ever want to feel like Atreyu and run around the forest. Now all I need is a big white dragon.)

Dark Lace

Lace dress, wild at heart vintage.
Fringe boho purse, forever21.

My boyfriend wanted this for his birthday. I'm going to have to veganize  some of these recipes for myself and other friends. I rather enjoy the challenge.

I have fallen in love with these books.

The boyfriend and I made peanut butter heart shaped sandwiches with organic fruit spread inspired by the Free People blog.

Love notes from good friends.
