Mad Hatter unbirthday tea party

The hostess handmade this amazing tea cozy.

Loved the decorations.

Vegan and gluten free cake with chai frosting.

She also had some vegan options for tea sandwiches.

Best peach tea I have ever had.

Vegan lemon home made marmalade for the scones.

This lady was lovely. I thought she looked a bit like Kate Middleton.

I loved all the beautiful dainty fashion.

I brought a bit of a gothic/steam punk edge to the party.

Loved her pirate style hat. Loved!

We also did a white elephant gift exchange.

The alice style miniature tea set I won!

Recently I was invited to a Mad Hatter/Alice in Wonderland themed unbirthday tea party. Honestly, it was one of the coolest things I've ever been to. The hostess, who is also a vintage enthusiast like myself and an avid collector of vintage tea sets threw an amazing get together. I took tea with some of the most lovely ladies. We all came dressed to the nines in fancy mad hatter style hats, played fun games and literary mad libs, which if you are a big book reader or English major you will find hilarious. She decorated in Alice in Wonderland style and created one of the most amazing gluten free, mostly vegan spreads I have ever seen. It was complete with little tea sandwiches and delicious organic peach tea.Very fun indeed.

Everyone is asking where I got my outfit to put together for the tea party so here it is :)

Velvet top mad hatter style hat, As you wish. (Amazing store in Lake Tahoe, very whimsical and magical. If you haven't been there you must visit.) Steam punk style shirt, Lip Service. Alice in wonderland pendant, Ebay. Necklace, Storyteller Keys. Human skeleton bag, Restyle.

  1. Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips for rookie blog writers? I'd genuinely appreciate it.
