Awesome cafe's and breakfast pics

 I decided to start posting more pictures of my breakfasts that I make: usually oats with some sort of hemp or almond milk and loads of organic goodies. I went to several lovely cafe's with friends this week and enjoyed soy latte's and took pics of my friend's food to post. I am doing some reading on the Nicholas Flamel book series, which I am thoroughly enjoying so far. I have a friend who is swapping their copies of Game of Thrones books with my Nicholas Flamel books after I read them so I am excited. It is wonderful to have such great friends who will loan you all the great books from their collections! I can't stand those people who dont' trust friends with their books and get all up tight about it. Books are for cherishing but also loaning and if you can't trust a friend with your books than maybe you should chill our or find more trust worthy friends. Just saying :)

We are also growing pretty sunflowers that are growing quite tall at the moment so I am thrilled about this. I have an entire herb garden going right now with every herb one can imagine. If you don't have an herb garden I suggest you grow some if you can. Not everyone is fortunate to have a bigger yard. I have friends wit apartments and no yard but I have encouraged them to grow things in small pots. I have a very good friend who has no yard yet is sustaining a fabulous and always growing garden. I love going over to friend's places and eating tomatoes and other things in season. Later on in the week some of my best friends came over and had  Johnny Depp movie marathon with me and we drank coffee from our favorite cafe'. I hope you all have had a great week.

Don't ever let anyone dictate your style

I had a friend recently who was criticized for changing up her style of dress. I was criticized once for this told I was not consistent and it bothered someone. My style and my lifestyle is primarily gothic but if I want to rock some grunge duds or prep it up for a friend's upscale party so be it. Don't ever let anyone dictate your style or tell you that you are doing it wrong, you are messed up or confused about who you are. Anyone who does can take a hike. In life people are going to gossip, they are going to love you and some for no reason are also going to hate you. Wear what you like and don't feel you must apologize for what you do or explain your fashion or style/lifestyle to anyone. I wear black pretty much every day but I do enjoy playing dress up and looking like a hippie from the 60's or a wanderer from the 70's. It is why I adore vintage and that is why I have this other blog to pay respect to more than just my style. I also do street style posts because I find other's styles beautiful and inspiring! Just because I'm a "goth" chick doesn't mean I can't rock other types of dress once in a while. I know who I am and I stand firmly in my beliefs and lifestyle.  I hope this helps some of you that might have been criticized before about how they wear clothing. In the end YOU are the master of your own ship and you dictate what you want to present to the world. If you wake up feeling like a water elf than so be it dress like one or if you want to dress like a gothic pirate do it like no one is watching! If someone can't understand your or you are far too complex for them maybe they should waste their time on something more trite minded and easier to put into a box. Don't waste your breath or time with petty insults. Don't let anyone dictate your style.

New plaid grunge style dress and rad documentary

My friend Kevin recommended this dvd to me. I can't wait to check it out. I collect music documentaries so I always like new suggestions. I also got a new plaid maxi dress which I love. It is light weight and thin so perfect for summer and I can layer underneath it with tights and boots for fall. I  caught up on magazine reading in the morning. 

Got this awesome Trent Lane pendant on etsy. It came with a different necklace chain but I wanted to fit it onto a thicker cord because I liked the look of it a bit better. 

Never get enough vegan ice cream. Yum!

Peter Murphy in San Francisco

Had a lovely evening out with friends and got to see Peter Murphy play in San Francisco. I also enjoyed seeing The Blah Boutique upstairs during dinner and drinks with my love. It was a great night.

Met them upstairs and picked up their cd. They are so lovely and  have rad music. I would love to some day see them play a show in the future. 

Weddings, dinners and social events this weekend!

This weekend we celebrated my friend Tom's birthday and Sunday I attended my friend's wedding reception. Super casual and laid back. They served a delicious snack bar full of both vegetarian and vegan options on an outdoor wood deck. It was fun to mingle and check out the fashions. I also finally fell down the Sharknado hole. That movie is ridiculous and hilarious. So bad it is good! I am definitely going to be planning a Sharknado movie night with friends!! What are you doing this summer?

Lovely birthday evening celebration and drinks with our friends. 

Wedding fun!! I chose a bauble necklace I got from etsy and a cute lace top with a peter pan collar plus beige flats and black skinnies for the occasion. It was sweltering outside but they had a lovely little canopy for us vampires allergic to the sun. It was such  fun summer occasion.
